Mahi

Mahi is commonly known as dolphin fish but not to be confused with the bottle nosed mammal. The fish is a brilliant blue, green and silver color with yellow spotting. The belly is usually white or yellow. The bright coloring fades quickly when landed. It has a crested, round head which resembles a dolphin. Males tend to have more color than females and can grow to be over six feet long. The Mahi can live to be about five years old and are typically 8 to 25 lbs. Mahi inhabit the tropical waters of the Atlantic and Pacific oceans.
